"Shady Day"

These beauties were on another window.  I really like geraniums.  The contrast of colors and the blue shades really caught my eye.

"Treats"

8 x 8 inches
oil on panel
$135

This is the sister painting to "Cool."  I intentionally used complimentary colors in each painting.  I especially like this one with strawberry and pistachio ice cream.

Wayne Thiebaud is one of my favorite painters.  I borrowed his board and added my blueberry and vanilla ice cream.  What fun this was!

"L. A. Street Fair"

12" x 9"
oil on board
$350

When I was in Los Angeles this last January visiting my son and daughter-in-law, I went to a street fair to take some shots.  After I took this shot, the owner of the booth quickly said some words to me that I didn't understand.  However, I did understand the hand gesture to not take anymore photos.  Glad I got this shot because I really liked the pink dress in the sunlight.

Camille and Tulips

12 x 12
oil on board
$400

"Lady Katherine"

20" x 16"
oil on canvas
$1500
It was dress-up day in photography and the photo for this painting really caught my eye.  I don't paint many portraits; only if I have free-reign.  However, the folds in the fabric, the way the light was reflected through the iris,  the rosy shapes in the lips, and the red stripe on the nose, were all bekoning my brush!

I thought I would try Sunflowers.  I decided to keep it relatively small for now.

I decided to throw in a red tulip with my white ones.  The shadows were so beautiful.
